Tim and his friends were sitting in a boat going across the Nile when suddenly, they saw a dark shape in the water. Tim’s heart thumped with fear, from the outset he didn’t want to go on a trip to the desert. Because when he was a child his father told him many stories of mummies and ghosts in that desert. His friends began messing about what happened. For Tim, it wasn’t funny, he was really frightened.
By surprise, the shape appeared again, but this time it was more enormous, like a giant dark shape in the middle of the river. Now everyone was afraid. Later one of the friends said ‘it looks like a big monster!’. That made the whole boys shout very loudly. After they got calm, they continued on their way to the camp.
The next day, they were relaxing at the riverside when Tim heard a strange sound. Tim’s face went pale when he saw a strange shape, like a ghost coming near him. But wait… it wasn’t one ghost, there were a lot of them!
Tim screamed to his friends as loud as he could. At the time they heard the warning they started to run. After a long time running, they found a shelter. Quickly they got into it and stayed there for a long time. They didn’t dare to go out because they knew that if they did, something terrible would happen to them.
Minutes later, in a village, loud screams were heard. The entire population was scared, so they went out to investigate, but nothing was found. The boys had disappeared and, despite all the searching, no one ever heard from them again.
